In this thread, I'm gonna' tell you how to be promoted to a higher rank without filling out an application. Let's get started.
Step 1. You must be a recognizable person. What I mean by this is if I ask about you around the server, people are going to say stuff like "Oh yeah, he's nice," "(Your Name)? He's awesome!" This will prove to me that people like you and would want you as a higher rank. If someone says something like "That kids a jerk." I'm going to wonder what you've been doing and question whether you should be promoted.
Step 2. Stand out. Become active in the forums so that I see you're doing a good job. Just joining the server and playing around a bit isn't enough. Everyone does that, so it doesn't make you stand out. I watch people who stand out over others.
Step 3. Be good. Don't get warnings, infractions, or become suspended. How might you stop these from happening? Easy. Follow all the rules and don't abuse your commands. If you want to know how many warnings you have, PM me and I'll look at the records. I can also tell you how many tests you have passed/failed. (Tests = Admins/HAdmins using random names to test other staff)
Step 4. Stay at your rank for an appropriate amount of time. If you rush through your rank to become a higher rank, it shows impatience. Moderators, since they get promoted the most, should stay a moderator for at least 2-4 weeks before becoming an admin.
If these fail, just leave a note on my wall saying something along the lines of "Hey Wolf, I'd like to become an admin." That way I at least know you're interested in becoming an admin.
Warning:
If you post a demanding message on my wall requesting to become a higher rank, you'll never get promoted. If you have to, copy and paste the message I provided above.
